- What is the difference between a setup skill and an execution skill?
- A setup skill defines the conditions under which you would actually put on a trade. An execution skill is about getting in and out at a price the thesis can survive, which is a separate problem from deciding the trade is worth taking.
- Do I need a review skill if I already journal my trades?
- Review is about whether the process, not one trade, has an edge. A journal records what happened; a review skill is aimed at turning those records into a judgment about the process itself.
- Where should I start if my risk rules are vague?
- Start with a risk skill, since it answers how much you can lose when the thesis is wrong. That number constrains position size and shapes every other stage, including execution and trade management.
