Market Research Skills for AI Agents

Market research skills help an agent run a study rather than gather a pile of screenshots. They cover the full sequence: naming the decision the research is meant to inform, choosing a method that could actually change that decision, deciding whose voice is in the sample and whose is not, collecting what the method calls for, turning responses into something a product or brand can use, and reporting so a decision-maker knows what to do on Monday. Use the ranked list by starting from your decision, not from a method you like. Find the sub-topic where your work is stuck — an undefined decision, a weak method, a skewed sample, messy analysis, or a report nobody acts on — and pick the skill that addresses that step.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What separates a market research skill from a general research or browsing skill?
Market research here is a study with a defined decision, a chosen method, a sample, collection, analysis, and a report. A general research skill tends to stop at gathering sources. If your task needs a decision-maker to know what to do on Monday, you want the study-shaped skill.
How is the ranked list ordered?
The list is ranked by observed search demand, with direct matches to the topic placed first and a cap on any single publisher. That keeps the top of the page focused on the sub-topics above rather than one vendor's catalog.
Where should I start if I have not defined the decision yet?
Start with the Decision sub-topic, because every later step — method, sampling, collection, analysis, report — is only useful relative to a decision. A method chosen before the decision is just activity. Once the decision is named, move down the list to the step you are actually stuck on.
Can one skill cover the whole study end to end?
The topic is broken into Decision, Method, Sampling, Collection, Analysis, and Report, and skills tend to address one or a few of those steps. Check which steps a skill covers before loading it. If your study spans several steps, expect to combine skills rather than rely on one.
